Semolina apple pudding is a delicious pudding that all babies enjoy eating and it provides nutrition and energy both. Babies above 6 months can be given this pudding.
The recipes given to the babies of 6 to 12 months need to be filling but easily digestible too. The recipe of semolina and apple satisfies both these conditions, as semolina is easy to digest and filling too.
Small babies cannot eat raw apple easily hence it needs to be cooked a bit to make it softened. It is free of any preservatives and food colors which may cause problems to young babies. Babies always like the fresh food recipes containing fruits like banana, apple, apricot etc because of its pleasant flavor and taste.
Here is the traditional Indian recipe of semolina apple pudding for babies –
Ingredients :
2 tbsp wheat semolina
2 tbsp apple (peeled and grated)
¾ tbsp sugar
Cardamom powder
2 tsp butter (unsalted)
½ cup water
Method :
Heat butter in a pan and add semolina. Roast it till golden in color over low heat. Add apple and stir for a while. Add water and sugar and cook till it thickens a little. Remove from the heat and add cardamom power.
Feed this recipe when it is cooled down a little. You can replace apple with banana to give variety to your child, so that he is not bored with his food.
If your baby doesn’t like sweet taste, you can find various salty semolina recipes too, which are equally tasty and healthy.
